For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations."    Psalms 100:4-5 We have so much to be thankful for every single day. But I'm grateful for this season when we have built in reminders to help us stop and give thanks to the Lord for all that He has done. Regardless of what happens in the world around us, we can chose to be thankful, and we can choose to trust in the Lord- His steadfast love endures forever!  His steadfast love sent His Son [Jesus] to become the bridge  so that we can have a relationship with the God, our Creator and Sustainer, and for this we give thanks!  Happy Thanksgiving from the crew here on the farm!!   Thanks for reading our blog posts and enjoying our adventures this year! (I may have shared this on the blog in the past, I don't remember... It's worth resharing!) 

My brothers headed to WY in early October on a mule deer hunting trip.  I sent the camera with them, and it came home with lots pictures on it, (good job guys!)   Happy, happy hunters! One of my favorite pictures from their trip. This blog post will features the some of the pictures that they took.  I'm not even going to attempt at the stories. If you want stories you'll have to get them first hand, straight from the source!!  I know they'd enjoy telling you about their adventures. ☺   Nate's first WY buck Packing it out...  Matt found some treasures... And then a buck!! They had a little run in with these bad boys...  Silas didn't get a deer this year- but had fun anyway!  They even took a picture of the cute baby donkey for us! 

Taking this Sunday afternoon to share some of the pictures and stories from the rest of August and September.  Shortly after arriving home from our family trip to WY the three of us sisters joined another pair of sisters who are good friends of ours and the 5 of us went backpacking. This was a new adventure for all of us! We hiked about a 24 mile section of the Superior Hiking Trail on the north shore of Lake Superior over the course of 3 days. We started at George H. Crosby-Manitou State Park and ended at Temperance River State park. Parts of the trail were a real workout, but we had great weather, and so much fun together. We look forward to doing another trip in the future. I didn't take many pictures (the camera stayed home!) but have a few snapshots I took on my phone. Hello and Happy Labor Day! I hope you've had a good day whether you were enjoying the holiday by relaxing or by laboring. For us it was a day of laboring- but it's been good, and we made some progress on various projects- digging potatoes, fencing, the red shed, and school work. One of the projects that happened today was finalizing the new website for our farm store and music ministry! This is a project that Laura started last semester as a part of one of her college classes. She had it almost ready to publish last May, then summer hit, and it became a low priority on the to-do list... It was left waiting... Until today. Day 1: We left home at 2:30 a.m. one morning in early August, and by 5:00 p.m. that day we were in Buffalo, WY.  (We only stopped a couple times on the way out.) After getting fuel and ice, we headed into the Big Horn Mountains to find a place to camp. We had intended to camp in a National Forest campground, and there were several in the area that we would be visiting. Since we had several "bumps" in our plans shortly before our trip, none of us were totally sure it would work to take this family vacation, so we hadn't reserved any campsites. We drove through 3 campgrounds and there were no openings, but because it's a national forest, dispersed camping is allowed. [In case you don't know, dispersed camping means you can camp anywhere you can find a spot as long as your vehicle is specified number of feet off the road.]   Look what we saw while looking for a campsite!!!  A mama moose (cow) and her baby (calf) munching on "moose moss".   Ha ha!  Does an...
