Hi Folks! We hope that you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and that you got to enjoy time with your family and friends over the holidays. This post is my attempt to catch you up on what happened over the past couple of months. Late November: Gypsy, (the guard dog) treed a bear in the sheep and goat pasture.... The bear spent a rather cold night in the tree, and as soon as we moved the sheep and goats the next day, it came piling down out of that tree and high-tailed it out of there. The good news is that it didn't hurt any animals.... Gypsy is doing her job. Grace and I moved the sheep and goats home for the winter just before deer season- and they were excited to come. It was an all out race across the field (and I didn't win...) And speaking of deer season, the brothers all enjoyed getting out there and doing some hunting but Matt was the only one who put any on the ground. He got a buck opening day, and then a doe later in the week. And ...
