Grace is a senior this year and we celebrated her graduation with a party earlier this month at our town hall.  Here are a few pictures from the the event.  Behind the scenes:   We (Mom, Emily, Grace, and Laura) made most of the food for this. Therefore the day before was a busy day in the kitchen! I didn't take many pictures since my hands were dirty most of the time, but here are a few.  Cookies; we made 5 different kinds, all of them were yummy!  We made them some earlier in the week and then all these on Wednesday. We ended up with lots left over, but we were okay with that. Cookies freeze well, and we have been enjoying them ever since. Potato salad: 24 cups of diced potatoes later....  We even made our own barbecue sauce- it turned out great!  The Party! Our cousin-in-law Ashley did the flower arranging for us!  The tables set up and ready The food all ready to go! Hot BBQ chic...

Well, May is here and along with weather that can't seem to make up it's mind, we have lots of baby animals here on the farm! Although in some ways it's a fun time of year with lots of new animals, it also means more work, and chores take longer as we care for all of animals. As the new animals arrive we have to make sure that they get up, find something to eat, and insure that they are safe and warm enough. Heat lamps are high in demand around here right now with the cooler weather. Enjoy the pictures of some of the babies around here! Dairy Calves  175 Chicks arrived this week! Kids A set of triplets!  Lambs This is Dotty: She belongs to Laura, and follows Laura around.  She got to wear a dandelion chain :) Her dots are behind her ear in this picture....
