We've been living in a gray, foggy, frosty world for the past week or so. Everything has accumulated layers of frost. The sun has only peaked out a couple times; when it does, everything glitters. But the majority of the time it's been foggy, leaving us in world of gray whiteness.   {Is "gray whiteness" a real thing? I don't know.... But how else does one describe it?? 😉} I took these pictures on Saturday and was reminded that even though the world around us seems to be going crazy, God shows his care for us by taking time to create beautiful scenes in creation!  " He [God] sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly. He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes. He hurls down his crystals of ice like crumbs; who can stand before his cold?"   Ps. 147:15-16

 None of us will forget the year of 2020, and someday when it's just a story, how will you remember it? Did you write a story worth telling?  For us, 2020 was better than 2019, it didn't include a broken wrist (requiring surgery), a week long hospital stay (and hence a cancelled vacation) and saying good-bye to a very dear grandma- all of which happened in 2019.  Yes, 2020 still had it's challenges: Matt split open and fractured his thumb, and we were all bummed about various events that didn't happen, but overall we made the best of situations and have a year of great memories.  On the 31st, we had a discussion at the breakfast table about highlights/events from the year.   Merry (Belated) Christmas and Happy New Year from our crew to all of you!  This is my favorite family picture of 2020 taken atop Sheep Mountain (Well, okay... to be honest it's the only family picture we took this year...)  Our 4 day WY vacation was a major highlight of the year for all of us, and we loved spending time in the Big Horn Mountains. I've been composing a blog post in my head over the past week and have some highlights from our 2020 to share with you, but haven't made the time to sit and type it out- my goal is to get that done in the very near future. So you can look forward to that. :)  Welcome to 2021!
