The culprits
of the early morning explosions on Fair-View Farm (FVF) have been located.
According to the farm’s news reporter, residents of the farm house and neighbors
were awakened at 5:10AM to a string of explosions. BANG,--- BANG, BANG, BANG,
BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG. A witness of the event said that there was the
sound of running footsteps on the driveway just before the explosions. Upon
investigation the explosions have been determined to be from a whole package of
firecrackers. Shortly after this incident, which was followed by several other firecrackers, the two teenage minors responsible for all this noise
were located in the barn setting up for the morning milking. The minors, whose
names will not be released, were chipper as all get out and had started chores.
They informed another resident who appeared on the scene that they hoped they
had awakened her early enough to make pancakes for breakfast.
FVF’s neighbor to the south also heard the explosion
but didn’t seem to be disturbed by it as the communication from her was
cheerful in nature. However, FVF’s
residents had varying responses as they showed up for morning chores, and most
looked rather tired.
Residents of FVF
are not expected to press any charges. They understand that the teens were only
having fun and enjoying the 4th of July; and as they will be making
hay later today, they felt the need to start the celebration early. The
reporter said that firecrackers are the main source of celebration of this holiday
on the farm. Currently there is a slight smell of gunpowder outside, but that
is expected to clear up in the near future.
Finally,
the reporter said that neighbors should expect explosions throughout the
remainder of the day. A FVF resident bought a large brick of firecrackers and a
few other explosives and is sharing them.
